“After years designing complex physical spaces and managing high-stakes logistics at Hewlett Packard, and The Denver Zoo, I realized the world’s most fundamental systems aren't built of brick, but are built out of critically created content and data. I reached the ceiling of growth within the legacy logistics framework at Royal FloraHolland, and am seeking a high-complexity environment where Information Architecture is a core priority. I am pivoting to Technical Writing to ensure those systems are clear, documented, and resilient.”

Born and raised among the majestic peaks of Colorado’s Rocky Mountains… I learned early that beauty and resilience often share the same horizon. Alongside my beloved brother, Mark, whose memory continues to inspire me since his passing in 2024, I have cultivated a spirit grounded in courage, creativity, and compassion.

Before finding my voice as a novelist, I lived in the dynamic world of high-fashion modeling, gracing print and runways from Denver to New York City and Milan. I later pursued my Bachelor’s Degree in Interior Architecture Design from Colorado State University, where my passion for purposeful creativity took form in Barrier-Free Zoo Design, a concept that reimagined freedom for the animals rather than the spectators.

My innovative work on the Western Lowland Gorilla Dayroom Project for the Denver Zoological Garden earned Best of Show and Best Senior Project honors at CSU’s Design Expo, and drew expertise from world-renowned primatologist Dr. Biruté Galdikas.

After more than a decade of MAC designing (not Apple) for Hewlett Packard, I shifted focus to the role closest to my heart, motherhood. My two children, now accomplished professionals in Colorado’s tech world, remain my proudest legacy.

In time, empathy and determination found a new outlet, rescuing horses and donkeys from the Bastrop Louisiana kill-pen. My first rescues were my cherished Mirabella and Cheval. They became symbols of love, loss, and the transformative power of compassion. They taught me:

“Passion with purpose never comes without the possibility of great risk, and great loss.”

Writing found me unexpectedly one afternoon at a Colorado State swim meet in Denver, when Garr, the protagonist for my romantic-suspense novel, SIGNPOSTS, arrived uninvited but irresistible. Since then, I am dedicating my craft to exploring the tension between love and danger, redemption and loss-weaving narratives that mirror the depth and duality of my own life’s journey.

London Litcott is my provocative alter-ego, the Information Architect is me, Christine McCollom-van Bentem. Drawing from a life spent navigating complex international systems, high-stakes corporate environments, and a relentless pursuit of personal sovereignty, I write Romance Suspense that mirrors my own reality: where the danger is real, the logic is sharp, and the passion is a survival mechanism.

Based in the Netherlands with my husband, I write from our Zuid Holland home built in 1799. I architect worlds where strong women outmaneuver 'hoops' and claim their own endings. I reflect often on Colorado where the mountains stand as both muse and memory, and I continue to pursue my passion for the written word.

Statement of Integrated Intelligence & Architectural Integrity

As a Systems Architect and Technical Author, I believe that the future of complex problem-solving lies in the synergy between human vision and advanced technology.

In the development of the VÄS (Vivisec Alternative Solution) framework, I utilize Artificial Intelligence as a collaborative 'Drafting Partner' to streamline data synthesis and technical nomenclature. However, the Conceptual Logic, Ethical Framework, and Architectural Integrity of this work are entirely my own.

Every technical specification, biological parameter, and strategic vision presented in my portfolio has been rigorously vetted, refined, and validated by me personally. My use of AI is a commitment to efficiency and precision, but my commitment to Scientific Truth and Personal Accountability remains absolute.

Notice regarding VÄS™ Intellectual Property: As I move toward the public prototype phase, please note that all VÄS technical specifications, nomenclature, and 'Inside-Out' pathfinding logic are proprietary. I welcome collaboration with verified veterinary and medical professionals; however, I maintain a strict vetting process. I do not authorize the use of my conceptual frameworks for unverified AI-generation or external projects without a signed Mutual NDA.

LEGAL NOTICE: PROPRIETARY ARCHITECTURAL PROTOCOL The VÄS™ architecture and VIM™ pedagogical engine are timestamped and under active IP protection. Unauthorized use of these concepts, including the adaptation of this specific modular logic for AI-generated imagery or technical frameworks, is a violation of international intellectual property law. All access is tracked and monitored.
